Stella's Dog Snacks
Ingredients
A note about gluten: When gluten-free whole-grain oat flour is used, this recipe is gluten free.
2 cups
gluten-free whole-grain oat flour (or whole-wheat flour), such as Bob's Red Mill brand
14 oz.
puréed all natural baby food (such as pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, banana, carrot or a combination)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and baby food; stir to combine, creating a sticky dough.
- Spoon and press dough into silicone molds; level off the top to create evenly shaped pieces.
- Place molds on a baking sheet; bake in preheated oven until snacks are light golden-brown on the edges (20-25 min.).
- Turn off oven; leave snacks in the oven until completely cool.
- Remove snacks from molds; let stand at room temperature for 2 hrs.
- Transfer snacks to an airtight container; store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Tasty Tip:
- The number of treats will depend on the size and shape of your molds. A 1 ½" x 1" x ½" mold will yield about 60 snacks.
