Simple Cheese Tart with Holiday Sauce

Serves 12

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup sugar, divided
5 tbsp. Kowalski's Unsalted Butter, melted
12 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1 ½ tbsp. Kowalski's Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice (from the Produce Department)
1 tsp. Kowalski's Organic Madagascar Vanilla Extract
12.5 oz. jar Stonewall Kitchen Holiday Jam (or any high-quality fruit spread or jam)
¼ cup water

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine crumbs, ¼ cup sugar and butter; toss with a fork until well blended.
  3. Press crumb mixture firmly onto bottom and up the sides of an 11" removable-bottom tart pan.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until crust is golden-brown and firm to the touch (6-8 min.); cool completely.
  5. Using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Thoroughly mix in remaining sugar, sour cream, juice and vanilla.
  7. Spread filling in cooled crust; chill for 4 hrs.
  8. Pour jam and water into a medium saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stir continuously, until jam melts into a smooth sauce.
  9. Remove pan from heat; cool to room temperature.
  10. Drizzle sauce over chilled tart; serve immediately.
