Summer Slow Cooker Turkey Sandwiches

Ingredients

2-3 lb. Ferndale Market Minnesota Grown bone-in skin-on turkey breast
2 tsp. kosher salt, plus extra for seasoning
1 tsp. freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns, plus extra for seasoning
2 cups low-sodium chicken stock
8 Kowalski's Whole Wheat Burger Buns
- Kowalski's Unsalted Butter, softened
- garnishes and toppings, as desired: Kowalski's Cider Slaw with Kowalski's Signature Coleslaw Dressing or lettuce, sliced Minnesota Grown tomatoes and fresh Minnesota Grown cilantro with Kowalski’s Clásico Guacamole

Directions
  1. Season turkey with salt and pepper; place in a slow cooker.
  2. Add chicken stock to the slow cooker; cook on high for 5-6 hrs. or on low for 7-8 hrs.
  3. Remove turkey from cooker; discard skin and bones.
  4. Strain cooking liquid to remove small fragments of bone; return liquid to the pot.
  5. Shred turkey and return to the pot; adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Spread cut side of each bun with a small amount of butter. On a nonstick griddle preheated to medium, cook buns cut-side down until golden and lightly toasted.
  7. Serve warm turkey on buns with desired toppings.
