Autumn Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

4 Kowalski's Naturally Raised Fresh 94% Lean Ground Turkey Patties
- kosher salt and freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns, to taste
8 very thin slices tart apple, cut crosswise through the core, core removed
4 slices Gruyère cheese
4 Kowalski's Sprouted Burger Buns (from the Bakery Department), split and lightly toasted
- fresh baby arugula or baby spinach leaves, to taste
- Kowalski's Cranberry Sauce or lingonberry jam, to taste

Directions
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; clean grill grates.
  2. Season burgers with salt and pepper; grill over direct heat, lid down, for 4-5 min. on first side.
  3. Flip burgers; top each with 2 slices of apple and 1 slice of cheese. Close lid; melt cheese while burgers finish cooking on second side (4-5 min.).
  4. Remove from heat; tent loosely with foil and let stand for 3-5 min.
  5. Serve burgers on warm buns with greens and jam to taste.
