Classic Pasta Salad
Ingredients
4 oz.
uncooked dry short pasta noodles
⅓ cup
thinly sliced celery (with leaves)
¼ cup
diced red pepper
2
green onions, thinly sliced
½ cup
mayonnaise
1 oz. bunch
fresh dill, stems removed, coarsely chopped
2 tbsp.
Kowalski's Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice (from the Produce Department)
- kosher salt and freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns, to taste
Directions
- In a pot of salted boiling water, prepare pasta according to pkg. directions; drain.
- Transfer drained pasta to a medium mixing bowl with celery, red pepper and green onions; toss until combined and set aside.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk mayonnaise with dill and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix dressing thoroughly into pasta mixture; cover and refrigerate salad for several hours before serving.
Switch-Up:
- Use whole-wheat or a bean-based pasta to add in health-helping nutrition perks.
