Molten Chocolate Cakes
Ingredients
16 tbsp. (2 sticks)
Kowalski's Unsalted Butter
4 (4 ¼ oz.) bars
Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate, broken into squares
4
eggs, plus 4 egg yolks
½ cup
sugar
¼ cup
flour
½ tsp.
Kowalski's Organic Madagascar Vanilla Extract
- fresh strawberries, for garnish
- Kowalski's Signature Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, for serving
Directions
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter and chocolate until melted (3-4 min.); stir to combine.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer on high speed until thick and pale yellow.
- Fold flour, vanilla and chocolate mixture into the egg mixture; set aside.
- Butter 8 ramekins; divide batter evenly between cups. Cover each ramekin with foil; freeze until solid.
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- Bake frozen cakes in preheated oven until edges are set but centers are liquid (15 min.).
- Garnish with strawberries; serve with ice cream.
