Bourbon Cherry S'mores Milkshakes
Ingredients
3-4 sheets
honey graham crackers, crushed
¼-½ cup
chopped dark chocolate, melted
2 cups
pitted Rainier cherries
6
large marshmallows
3 cups
Kowalski's Signature Chocolate Ice Cream
¼ cup
whole milk
4 oz.
bourbon whiskey, to taste (optional)
1 tsp.
dark chocolate per glass, finely shaved
Directions
- Place crushed graham crackers on a large plate; set aside.
- Pour melted chocolate onto a large plate; roll the rim of each glass in chocolate, making as large or small a chocolate rim as desired.
- Roll the chocolate-coated rim of each glass in graham crackers crumbs to coat, reserving some to use as topping for the milkshakes; place glasses immediately in the freezer to harden chocolate.
- On a baking sheet lined with foil, broil marshmallows for about 1 min. per side, keeping a close eye on them to make sure they don't burn; set aside to cool.
- Combine cherries, ice cream, milk and bourbon in a blender; blend until just smooth.
- Remove chilled glasses from the freezer; fill with milkshake ingredients.
- Top milkshakes with marshmallows, reserved graham cracker crumbs and shaved chocolate.
Tasty Tips:
- We like to use fancy milkshake or cocktail glasses for this recipe, but any glass will do!
- Graham crackers can be crushed by hand or pulsed in a food processor for a few seconds.
- You can use either a double boiler or a microwave to melt the chocolate. If you are using a microwave, melt chocolate in 30 sec. increments, keeping a close eye so the chocolate doesn't burn.
- You can modify the recipe to yield 4 small milkshakes by swapping the 6 large marshmallows out for 12 medium marshmallows.
