Mediterranean Grilled Halloumi

Ingredients

8 oz. piece halloumi cheese
¾ tsp. Kowalski's Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus more for garnish
- garnishes, to taste: lemon wedges and freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns
16 oz. Grilled Artisan Bread, for serving
- Valencia almonds and fig spread, for serving

Directions
  1. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat; clean grill grates.
  2. If packed in water, blot cheese with a paper towel to dry thoroughly. If necessary, slice cheese in half so it is no more than ¾" thick.
  3. Rub cheese evenly on all sides with oil; grill cheese on preheated grill, covered, until dark grill marks form and cheese softens (about 5 min. per side), turning once.
  4. Transfer cheese to a serving dish; drizzle with lemon juice and oil.
  5. Sprinkle with pepper; serve immediately with grilled bread, almonds and fig spread.
