Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

A note about gluten: When a gluten-free mustard is used, this recipe is gluten free.

3 tbsp. Kowalski's Balsamic Vinegar
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard (optional)
1 tbsp. minced shallots (optional)
¾ tsp. kosher salt, plus more to taste
¼ tsp. freshly ground Kowalski's Black Peppercorns, plus more to taste
½ cup Kowalski's Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-2 tbsp. freshly chopped herbs (such as parsley, dill and chives), optional

Directions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together vinegar, mustard, shallots, salt and pepper.
  2. Drizzle in oil very slowly, whisking constantly to form an emulsion.
  3. Whisk in chopped herbs, if desired; adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Store in the refrigerator, covered, until ready to use (up to 3 days). Try it in our recipe for Mood Boost Salad.
