Ginger Simple Syrup
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar.
- Add ginger; bring to a simmer.
- Remove from heat; let steep for 30 min.
- Strain syrup; discard ginger.
- Store covered in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Tasty Tip:
- Use this simple syrup to sweeten lemonade, iced or hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
- Try incorporating it into cocktails, as in our Ginger Margarita or Ginger Martini recipes.
- You can also use it to make Ginger Icing for cookies and cakes!
