Teriyaki Burgers

Ingredients

½ cup teriyaki sauce
¼ cup Kowalski's Pure Honey
1 lb. Kowalski's Certified Organic 100% Grass-Fed Ground Beef
2 green onions, thinly sliced
3 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 tsp. chile-garlic paste
½ tsp. kosher salt
4 Kowalski's Wheat Burger Buns (from the Bakery Department), lightly toasted
- toppings, to taste: finely shredded green cabbage (such as Dole Angel Hair Coleslaw), Quick Asian Pickles and/or Ginger Aioli

Directions
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; clean grill grates.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together teriyaki and honey; set aside.
  3. Using clean hands, mix next 6 ingredients (through salt) in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly combined; form 4 patties.
  4. Grill burgers over direct heat, covered, until done (4-5 min. per side), turning twice and brushing each side with glaze in the last 2 min. of cooking.
  5. Remove from heat; tent loosely with foil and let stand for 3-5 min.
  6. Serve burgers on buns with shredded cabbage, pickles and/or aioli.
