Kalbi Beef Sandwiches
Ingredients
1 lb.
boneless sirloin steak or skirt steak, cut into very thin slices on the diagonal

sweet yellow onion, thinly sliced
1
small green bell pepper, cored, seeded and sliced
14 oz. jar
Kowalski's Signature Original Kalbi Marinade
2 tbsp.
Kowalski's Unsalted Butter
2 tbsp.
Kowalski's Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Kowalski's Take & Bake Ciabatta Rolls, baked as directed and split in half horizontally
4 oz.
Gruyère cheese, thinly sliced
Directions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine steak, onion and bell pepper with marinade; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2-24 hrs.
- Drain marinade into a small saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Keep warm until sandwiches are ready to serve.
- Preheat broiler.
- In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter with oil over medium-high heat.
- Add beef and vegetables; sauté until beef is medium-rare (3-4 min.).
- Place bottom halves of rolls on a baking sheet; top evenly with beef mixture.
- Top evenly with cheese.
- Place baking sheet 6-10" from the preheated broiler; broil until cheese is melted and dark around the edges (1-2 min.).
- Cover cheese with top halves of rolls; serve immediately with reserved marinade for dipping.

- Select a whole-wheat or whole-grain bun for your sandwiches to get a boost of fiber and B vitamins.
