Grilled Sausage with Sweet Peppers and Onions

sweet onion, cut into thin strips

Directions
- Preheat grill to medium heat; clean grill grates.
- Trim ends from each pepper; cut in half lengthwise.
- Remove membrane and seeds; rinse peppers with cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peppers with oil, garlic, salt and pepper, tossing to completely combine.
- Place mixture into a grill basket; grill over direct heat until tender and slightly charred (about 20 min.), stirring occasionally.
- Grill sausages until heated through (10-12 min.).
- Serve sausages on buns topped with peppers and onions.
Tasty Tip:
- This sweet vegetable mixture can also be used as a great side dish served with you favorite steak.
- Use this same seasoning mixture to coat your favorite vegetables for the grill. The grilling time will depend on the texture of the vegetable and how large the pieces are. For items such as potatoes or carrots, partially cook in water before grilling to save time.
