Classic Sugar Cookie Icing
Ingredients
1 cup
confectioners' sugar
2 tsp.
milk
2 tsp.
corn syrup
1 ½ tsp.
Kowalski's Organic Madagascar Vanilla Extract
- pinch
kosher salt
- food coloring, your choice of color (optional)
Directions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk or beat first 5 ingredients (through salt) with an electric mixer until well combined.
- Whisk in food coloring, if desired.
- Use it to decorate your favorite cookies, such as our recipes for Nana's Sugar Cookie Cutouts, Spiced Brown Sugar Cookie Cutouts and Pepparkakor (Swedish Cookies).
Tasty Tips:
- This icing is fluid and easy to work with but dries beautifully shiny and hard within 24 hrs. Cookies can then be stacked for storage, transport or gifting.
- Whisk in a bit of cocoa powder to make a brown chocolate icing. Great for reindeer cookies!
