Easy Grilled Pizza or Flatbread
Ingredients
- prebaked pizza crust, flatbread, wraps or naan (your choice)
- Kowalski's Extra Virgin Olive Oil, as needed
- sauce and/or toppings and cheese, to taste
Directions
- Preheat both sides the grill to high heat, lid down.
- Turn one side of the grill off (or move coals to one side).
- Brush one side of each crust very lightly with oil; place oil-side down on a cutting board or the back of a baking sheet.
- Arrange a sparse amount of sauce (such as our recipe for Romesco Sauce or Pizzaiola Sauce), toppings and cheese evenly over pizza, taking care not to overload.
- Transfer pizza(s) to the heated side of the grill; grill 1-2 at a time (as space permits), lid down, rotating crust 90° when dark grill marks form (2-3 min. total).
- Slide pizza(s) to the cool side of the grill; let stand, lid down, until cheese is melted and bubbly (about 2 min.).
- Remove pizza(s) from grill; let stand for 1-2 min. before slicing.
