1919 Root Beer
1919 Root Beer
The name "1919" signifies the year that hundreds of breweries were faced with the prospect of closing because of Prohibition, which lasted from 1919 to 1933. To keep their breweries open, several resourceful brewmasters chose to make "near beer," elixirs and sodas. This practice continued only until Prohibition was repealed, when breweries went back to making beer.
1919 Root Beer is brewed in small batches in New Ulm, Minnesota. It is made with a unique recipe and only the finest ingredients, including real sugar (the sweetener of choice during the Prohibition era) and real vanilla – no corn syrup, gluten or caffeine.
Serve this creamy, full-bodied root beer the classic way in a frosted mug with no ice. It's a great refreshment for movie or game night. To make the perfect root beer float for dessert, fill a glass with 1919 Root Beer ¼ to ¾ full and top with 1-2 scoops of top-quality vanilla ice cream.
