Gertens

Gertens began with a vision of quality garden goods and a motto: "Buy from the Grower." Starting as a small truck farm in the 1900s, Frank Gerten sold the produce he grew on his own land primarily to local residents. The business quickly grew, and Frank eventually handed his company over to his two sons, Bob and Jerry.

Over the years, Gertens was passed down to a third generation and an expansion project was completed in 1996. Continuing the tradition of buying from the grower and keeping the original vision close to heart, Gertens became one of the few garden centers to grow the majority of goods it sells. Now operating under its fourth generation, it offers a shopping experience unlike any other. And, of course, its wide selection of annuals, perennials and nursery stock comes from the grower, naturally!
