The Mozzarella Class

Tuesday, September 17 • 6:30-8 p.m.

Kowalski's cheese counters have a well-deserved reputation for making the best mozzarella in town. Come and learn about the delicate balance of time, temperature and technique that we use to craft our delicious mozzarella in this hands-on mozzarella making class! We will share our expertise and tips for transforming crumbly curd into satiny, stretchy goodness that you can take home and enjoy. Fresh mozzarella is the perfect partner for this season's homegrown tomatoes, but we will move beyond Caprese and show you some other delicious ways to serve this versatile cheese.

We are also offering class participants the chance to pre-purchase bulk curd for handcrafting more mozzarella at home. The curd is perishable but can be frozen until ready to use. Your order will be available to pick up only at our Woodbury location after the class. Look for the link on the class registration page to add this item to your cart.

It's Sandwich Season

Wednesday, October 2 • 6-8 p.m.

Join our culinary team collaborators Kristine Schaak and Taylor McCloud for a celebration of all things sandwich. They're going upscale all the way with breads, buns, fillings and flavors featured in recipes good enough for guests! From open-faced Bombay Toast – made with our scratch-made challah and topped with a savory, warm-spiced chunky veggie sauce – to Candied Croissant Sandwiches piled high with burrata, mortadella, arugula salad and more, their demonstration of trending tips and techniques will transport your taste buds to sandwich bliss. Recipes for a Chimichurri Steak Sandwich, Spicy Fried Egg Sandwich, Everything Avocado Toast and more will also be shared, with beer pairings included! A recipe packet, generous sample portions, nonalcoholic beverages and more surprise treats will be provided. (Recipes subject to change.)
