A Thanksgiving Message from Kris Kowalski Christiansen

This particular time of year beckons thoughts of gratitude for family, friends, blessings, health and good food for the holiday table.
For my family, that table is my table. I've been hosting Thanksgiving for quite some time under the expert tutelage of my mom. She handed over the reins a few years back, even though – and this may surprise a lot of you – I am not a good cook. I give myself "foodie" credit because I know what quality food tastes like. Not surprisingly, our Signature Turkey Dinner is my lifesaving go-to.
This ready-to-go "meal in a box" hits all the right notes for my family. I love our take-and-bake dinner rolls for a fresh-out-of-the-oven experience. The turkey, mashed potatoes and sage stuffing are prepared just the way you'd do it in your own kitchen. And our pumpkin and pecan pies, made with wholesome, pronounceable ingredients, are the perfect finish. It almost begs the question, "Why do it?" Let us do it for you, that’s my motto! But if you're a culinary traditionalist or gourmet guru and you love doing it all from "scratch," we've got your back with the best of the best for your family recipes because we know that good ingredients matter.
Beyond the box, I always have finger foods to tide folks over until dinnertime. Grandma Betty's Chip Dip with chips and our Ultra Cocktail Shrimp and Signature Cocktail Sauce from the Seafood Department keep hunger at bay. For the "sweet tooths" in our family, I also set out a chocolate assortment by filling a tray full of my favorites, like Dark Chocolate Buttercreams, Sea Salt Caramels and Chocolate-Covered Peanuts.
Friday morning after Thanksgiving, I default to the delicious ease of our Bake at Home bakery line. Buttery baked goods made with simple ingredients and a lot of love are a favorite of mine that's sure to win over friends and family.
I am truly grateful for the many talented "foodies" that work with us to provide you, and me, with the Joy of Good Food!
