Helena Mattera

Grocery, Dairy & Frozen Foods Director Helena Mattera has been working for Kowalski's since our Woodbury Market opened in 2000. Working through high school and college, she gained valuable experience in a variety of roles and departments, including the Front End, Bookkeeping, Pricing, Human Resources and Merchandising. But it was in Grocery, Dairy & Frozen Foods that Helena discovered her true passion. Today, she loves collaborating with vendors and brands to curate an ideal mix of specialty, natural, conventional and local products for the center of our stores. She's especially enthusiastic about sourcing new and trending items. With a sharp eye for merchandising and an insatiable appetite for what's new and next, Helena believes that every shelf tells a story, and she loves helping to write it.
